Summer outdoor environments shot in cold November. How Tungsten and Propaganda launched Kasai Grills' Gastro Plus from our Leeds virtual production studio. The Gastro Plus is a premium Japanese-style konro grill for serious outdoor cooks. The brief called for garden, beach and golden-hour-dusk environments. We built the whole production on our LED volume, using the VP wall for outdoor environment plates and neutral lighting setups for product and food film production. AI post-production workflows for amplification, background replacement, and the product photography pipeline. Two shoot days. A 40-second vertical hero film, a full social media content library, and a product photography pack. Summer, delivered in December.
The brief asked for summer outdoor settings. Garden. Beach. Dusk. None of them available in Leeds in late November, none of them guaranteed in a Yorkshire summer either. We shifted the weather variable off the call sheet and built every environment on the LED volume.
The VP wall held the outdoor scenes. Garden through one setup, beach through the next, golden hour rolled in for the close of the day. Between environments the kit moved a few feet, the plate changed, the practicals re-rigged to match. Neutral plates carried the product and food-hero beats. The grills, the chef, the prep, all in the kind of clean controlled light that premium product work needs.
Directed by Christian Holtappel, shot by George Haydock, across two studio days. No weather delays. No location travel. Every minute on set spent shooting.

Post was where the shoot days compounded. AI workflows ran three jobs in parallel. Amplification, for stretching two days of footage into social cuts across every format Propaganda needed. Background swaps, for alternate environments and new compositions without a reshoot. A stills pipeline, pulling finished photography directly out of the motion footage, so the stills library landed at the same time as the film.
The same AI build gave Kasai something that outlasts the campaign. A brand-trained dataset, built from their own footage, that can generate Broll and extension assets without going back to the studio. One shoot, a film, a library, and a compounding asset for everything that comes next.
The edit leans on the rhythm of cooking. Preparation, fire, eating. Fast, textural, driven by the SFX as much as the music.
