The Brief

Alongside Piccallo agency, Tungsten offered production support for the launch campaign of SodaStream and PepsiCo's three new MTN Dew syrup flavours: MTN Dew, MTN Dew Zero, and MTN Dew Cran-Raspberry. They had their sights on a Gen-Z audience, which meant vibrant visuals and bombastic camera moves across a suite of social assets, so we took our technical expertise and Motion Control Cinebot down to London for a five day shoot and brought their ambitious creative to life.

Creative & Production

The kitchen set was built once and re-lit five ways. A green-tile splashback and stone-effect counter held the "make at home" SodaStream lockup. An olive-flat backdrop reset the same set for the Mountain Dew Margarita recipe. A peach-warm world swapped in for the Cran-Raspberry build. One studio space, three distinct campaign palettes. The format-agnostic backbone that makes a 20-variant social bank possible from a single production.

A motion-control camera drove the cocktail-build food beats. Lime squeeze, tequila pour, strain into a chili-salt-rimmed margarita glass, repeatable take after take, frame-accurate, at the consistency the editorial cut needs when the same beat has to land in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1. A custom rig was created for the slick "bottle tip" shot, locking the camera upside-down to the bottle as it rotates 180 degrees and pours MTN Dew for a gravity-defying hero moment.

Post-Production

Editorial cut the five hero films simultaneously across three aspect ratios. Each beat had to read 9:16 on a vertical timeline, 4:5 on the in-feed scroll, and 1:1 on the legacy carousel. Kinetic typography reveals like "fizz", "shake", "strain", "1 oz tequila", "your way" were built per-cut and tracked per-ratio.

Colour locked the three palettes. The kitchen-green world stays warm and daylit, the olive-flat world cools to studio neutral, the peach-warm world leans into golden-hour key light. Three distinct moods, one consistent product hero. Disclaimer typography was burned in per-market.
