SodaStream - a brand of sparkling water makers, reusable water bottles and fizzy flavours, who’s focus is on reducing single-use plastic waste and promoting wellness, was looking to create a bank of video promotional assets for the festive winter season. We were brought on board by a London based agency Piccallo to oversee the project management from creative development and shooting, to post-production and delivery! This production was definitely one of the more challenging shoots our team has faced. Despite the logistical setbacks and a tight timeframe, we put all the effort into showcasing SodaStream ART and DUO sparkling water makers in full glory, taking pride in the opportunity to work with an environmentally friendly brand!
To begin, our internal producer, director and DoP actively liaised with the clients to come up with a number of compelling scenarios which can be achieved to showcase the sparkling water makers in action and their relevance in a festive environment.
Upon securing the creative concept, we scouted locations, brought together a talented cast and crew, and were on the road to this London-based shoot in no time!
We completed the video production within two days, travelling distances between two different locations and staying incredibly efficient to capture a giant variety of visuals in a very tight timeframe. Overall we shot enough footage to create 22 different scenarios, capturing the video on the ARRI Alexa Steadicam.
SodaStream wanted to achieve softly lit scenes with the use of natural sunlight where possible, and we brought our top tier equipment to make that happen, lighting up the set with the Aputure 600 and 300 Ds.
Our team took care of the start-to-end video editing, colour grading, animated text graphics, and resizing in-house. All together, we delivered 60 individual assets which can be used across SodaStream's social channels, as YouTube pre-roll, paid ads and more.
